My Favorite Cane

Hello Fellow Caniacs and other Collectors! Whenever we meet a fellow fan of our hockey team of choice this inevitable question will eventually be asked:"Who is your favorite player?" Well in my case  for my entire fandom the answer has been the same. It has always been Team Captain ( or co-captain if you want to be technical) Justin Faulk. Drafted out of the University of Minnesota Duluth in the 2010 NHL Draft ( Jeff Skinner was picked in the first round making it arguably the best Canes draft to date), Faulk has established himself as an offensive threat from the blueline. Even with a down year scoring in the 2017-2018 season Faulk is on pace to surpass Glenn Wesley as the Canes all-time leader in scoring by a defender. Couple that with representing the Canes in the All-star Game 4 times and Team USA in the 2014 Olympics,  Faulk has became one of the many young faces of the franchise.

In my world of collecting Faulk has been one of the main focuses of my personal collection as of right not I own 97 of a possible 417 Justin Faulk's. Listed below are a few of my personal favorites.
The Panini Rookie Private Signings Card listed above is the first one I was able to obtain. Signed with #28 instead of #27 this card was made out of his 2010 draft day photo, and will remain a favorite because you always remember your first piece.

Next is the Upper Deck Young Guns card from 2010 A staple of the Hockey Card Collectors world the Young Guns is Upper Decks way of introducing a players NHL Arrival.
Lastly is the Upper Deck Young Guns Canvas Variant. A rarer version of the rookie card released by Upper Deck I appreciate the look and feel of the card.

You will notice with Justin Faulk on his earlier cards he is wearing the sweater # 28 it was a number he wore his first years in the league before donning the more familiar #27.

Thanks for reading and as always Redvolution
